Feinstein是加州的民主党，立场当然是亲移民的。
对移民来说都是友善的，不过是不是偏向非法移民就不好说了。

period of 6 months to look for a new job, to sell her/his home, to arrange
school transition for the kids, etc.
If a legal foreign worker has already filed PERM petition, which is the 1st
step to green card, and the petition has been approved, the approval should
be portable to the next job, rather than starting from scratch in the new
job.
If a legal foreign worker has already filed I-140 petition, which is the 2st
step to green card, and the petition has been approved, the approval should
be portable to the next job, rather than starting from scratch in the new
job.
A legal foreign worker without criminal record, after having paid taxes for
6 years, should wait no more than 3 years from the priority date to file I-
485, which is the 3rd step to green card.

carefully review any immigration legislation that comes before the Senate,
keeping your thoughts in mind. I have always been a strong proponent of
legal immigration, believing that we should immediately streamline the
process for those who are seeking citizenship through the legal and proper
channels. It is also true that the United States has been and must remain a
nation of laws. Therefore, we must continue working to secure our borders
as this is vital to our national security and the safety of all Americans.
I also believe that government should not adopt policies that encourage
illegal immigration. I have opposed proposals that include amnesty or
access to taxpayer-funded benefits for those who are in this country
illegally. |

Clearly, these actions signal a strong desire by individuals across the
United States to have Congress and the Administration work together to find
solutions to reform our current immigration policies, paying close attention
to how our laws relate to those who seek out illegal labor and those who
are here illegally. Illegal immigration can be both a risk to U.S. security
and also hamper our efforts to revive the economy with jobs for U.S.
citizens because of those who choose to exploit cheap, illegal labor. |

“人盯人项目”是建立把NIU的志愿者和key people建立一对一的关系。通常由一个志
愿者来负责1-2个关键性人物，比如在两院immigration subcommitee上的议员，一些重
要的华人政客，及其他可能对我们带来帮助的关键人物。希望通过发信，打电话，甚至
office visit来和这些key people建立一种长期的健康的工作关系。

The tone is to encourage policy makers to allow legal EB2 EB3 workers to be
part of the economic recovery (you give us green cards or portable PERM, I-
140, we buy homes, furniture, carpeting, appliances, we update our roofs,
walls, lawns, etc. to create jobs and boost spending) |
