J*****i 发帖数: 2622 | 1 Jijiwai, thanks for your email. I am very interested in working with you
and other Chinese nationals on such a worthy project as getting rid of the
archaic rules that keep Chinese scientists stuck for years in a queue that
makes no sense.
I suggest that I meet with you and others involved to brainstorm ideas—at
no charge—and then I can best let you know what kind of fees might be
involved.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
First congratulations for being named Super Lawyer again in 2010. And thanks
for your help on my H-1b extension matters.
I’m write because as you know most of spill over of visa in the past a
couple of years has been allocated to India. The 7% principle is set to
assure the fairness and diversity among immigration applicants from various
countries. NO single country can dominate under this principle. Moreover, by
setting forth the 7% rule, Congress intended to allocate the quotes evenly
among countries, rather than based on priority date. Therefore, although no
regulations affirmatively require that the extra quotes be allocated based
on country origin, this implementation could be the only correct
interpretation of the rule based on legislative intent.
A large group of Chinese immigrants are looking for a good lawyer to
represent us before the authorities and to make things right. I’m writing
to see if you would be interested, and if so what’s the fee arrangement.
Let me know what you think.
Thank you Jeff.

J*****i 发帖数: 2622 | 12 There is a good immigration lawyer (at least in my mind), who is willing to
spend sometime with us FOR FREE discussing the issues. I'm suprised that no
NIU member is interested. Even the free meeting. |

I think it's a more efficient way by finding a good professional (lawyer) to
help us, and the cost is a minor issue. |

J*****i 发帖数: 2622 | 22 Gee. I work in service business myself. And it is the common practice to
suggest for a meeting before talking about anything in details.
