i****a 发帖数: 36252 | 1 Got a Visual FoxPro 6 report. trying to find out it's data source. but
when go to manu -> View -> Data Environment, I got a blank screen.
How do I find out what data source the report is using? | S********t 发帖数: 18987 | 2 data一般是用DBF格式,
如果有SOURCE CODE通常会有USE XXX (TABLE NAME)表示用什么表
很老的东西了 | i****a 发帖数: 36252 | 3 I have the frx file and have it opened with VFP. I see the report layout,
I can right click and see the properties of the data fields. but I
couldn't figure out where to find the data source

or check the source code,
the form usuallly have initial handle, click on the form to see if any code
in the handle,
or it can load the data by some button check the button
it might load data from third party data source, so you need to check the
code

somewhat readable with a lot of noprintable characters. searched "use", or

interface. I do see something that points me to the right direction.
that's a good lead. thanks!

anyway, try use data import wizard of MS SQL, and use foxpro data source and
see if it can give you something. hopefully it still got the driver
installed. | i****a 发帖数: 36252 | 8 ok, found out the report gets data in "current session". so if I have a
database opened in the command window, the report will use that. if I have a
query result, the report will use that...
now if I can figure out why it the .scx (form) would not print the report to
the previously hard coded path after I updated 1 field in the report....
the action button in the form is doing "report from xxxx to print" |
