My Oracle have a trouble in this week.
c:\svrmgrl
ora-12560:TNS: Protocol adaptor error
c:\sqlplus scott/t***[email protected]
no error
however
c:\sqlplus scott/tiger
ora-12560:TNS: Protocol adaptor error
I wonder why.

don't re-install the whole thing. just remove current database and create
another. i got this error long ago, probably becuase of the conflict with
tcp/ip winsock.
