Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBAN)
Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University
The Master’s program offers hands-on application of data analysis with deep
exposure to analytical tools (such as SAS®, Tableau, R, Python, and
Matlab) along with a unique blend of interdisciplinary coursework, which
provides students a competitive skill set to pursue the highly demanded and
financially rewarding careers in analytics. The program is rated as the 13th
best Big Data Program in the US by TechRepublic.
Duration: On-campus option typically takes 21 months. Online option
typically takes 3 or more years.
Financial Aids and Costs:
Assistantships are available from the second semester depending on student's
’ profile and performance in the first semester. These assistantships cover
tuitions and $1,100 monthly stipends. International students are eligible
for assistantships.
The number of assistantships varies from year to year. About 85% of the
MSBAN students had full assistantships in spring 2017, and fall 2017. About
50% students received assistantships the year before.
100% of our 2016-2018 students had internships during the summer; many offer
allowances. Our students’ average compensation from internships is $11,000.
Many of our students received company sponsored assistantships and Co-ops
from companies that they interned with.
Many part-time opportunities are available on campus. Our students’ part-
time on-campus job compensation can reach up to $10,000.
Living Cost is very affordable (22 points cheaper than the US average.)
Job placement after graduation: 90% of our students receive full-time offers
within three months after graduation.
With this STEM programs, students are permitted to work in the US with OPT
status for a total of 36 months after graduation (24 months more compared to
regular programs.)
Application Requirements: GRE/GMAT, TOEFL (waiver available,) recommendation
letters, resume, and statement of purposes.
Deadlines: Early Deadline is January 1st, 2018. Regular Deadline is March
1st, 2018.
