won't even have a chance to get a decent funding. How can you do research?
But you have a lot of chance to do better research in China. So, I would say,
if you want to do research, either in a top 50 school, a good research lab in
US, or Top 5 school in China.

otherwise had better not go to Chinese universities, consider the damn
complicated relationship in China, I don't believe you can concentrate on
research or get funds easily in china.
In fact,in USA, many professors from small schools get NSF funds

发帖数: 301 | 6 It is not that much different. Here, you still have to have a social network
even in University. University in China is much better than company and
govenment.
NSF funding has been cut for years. 10 years ago, the success rate was 50%.
Now is 5%. Life is hard now here.
Another option is Europe. There are plenty funding there. It is a good choice
if you do not mind their hierarchy academic system.
