个5mile左右的平均大概8%的上坡，有三年没有爬这么长的盘山公路了，爬的还挺快，

deep. No matter how strong you feel in your group ride or this kind of fun
ride, there are always some stronger guys or smarter guys in the race field.
The only way to prove yourself is to race. Cat 3 is really a life goal for
me. If I can upgrade to Cat 3 and feel comfortable in Cat 3 level race
afterward, life would be complete for me.
By the way, "半mile4%的上坡就要了我的老命了" is exactly the feeling I had 7
years ago when I just start bik

美国业余车手有1-5五个category是么？必须要每年在usac注册才能参加比赛是吧？
那话说回来锻炼爬山能力的唯一办法就是不断的去爬山增强自己的力量咯。

对，坡度就是上升高度比上距离，好像没地方可以直接查。有些坡度标在路边的指示牌
上，我们爬的这桌山，上去的时候我没留意，从另一边下去的时候，看到标着9%。一般
都是自个估计一下，8%是我的估计，同去的老鸟说可能还高点。
这个坡度是不是就是上升高度比上距离？谢谢

biking in general一开始就是多爬多骑，piling mileages，积累endurance base。
You will see improvement fairly quickly over the course of 1-2 years then it
reaches a plateau. At that time, you need to think about structured
training. You can gain knowledge by reading articles here and there. But, my
advice is to buy a training book to see the whole picture and most
importantly the principles behind it. Sport training is a science and is
also an art. It is a lot of
