山看红叶。group里好几个康州同胞说要去；版上有兴趣的朋友也可以参加。Sleeping
Giant有很多trails，标记明显，自己走也很容易。另外Sleeping Giant志愿组织也有
爬山活动，这周日是introductory hike，三小时左右；28号是看红叶的hike；11月18

下面是纽约大学中国学生会这周末的hike活动：

Autumn is coming - the most beautiful season in the year. Let's walk out the
city and enjoy the beauty of the nature.
In this coming weekend, we are going to watch the famous New England Foliage
in Connecticut. Sleeping Giant State park is located 80 miles north from
Flushing by the historic city of New Haven. "Sleeping Giant" derives from
the shape of the mountain top resembles a large man lying in repose. We'll
take the 3 miles (round trip) paved tower path all the way to stone
observation tower on the
peak of Mt. Carmel. From the tower you will have a beautiful view of
downtown New Haven and Long Island Sound. It's going to be a easy trail for
all levels of hikers. If we still have time after the hiking, we can take a
campus tour in Yale University.
Some notes for this hiking event
1. Bring enough water to keep yourself hydrated.Some snacks/ energy bar will
be helpful if you feel hungry during hiking
2. Wear sneakers and enough cloth to keep yourself warm
3. If you drive north along Merrit Parkway (aka Route 15) instead of I-95,
you will have a fantastic scenic view of fall foliage in CT.
4. There will be a parking fee inside the park. There will be no charge if
you park along the road by the entrance outside the park.
5. For carpool from NYC please contact Ledao Xu. Any questions for this
event, please contact Angela Wang. If you have any questions about the park,
please contact Will Deng.
Your safety is our most concern. Please drive safely and take good care of
yourself while hiking. The organizers of this event are not responsible for
any injuries/accidents in this trip.
We'll meet at the park entrance at 1:00pm.
