Massaro Farm friends and supporters:
Can you connect the dots between pumpkins, reptiles and solar power? We'll
help you do just that at our 4th Annual Family Fun Day on Saturday, October
13th from 1-5pm (rain date October 14th). This year's event promises to be
bigger and better than ever!
There will be lots of activities for kids and adults, including:
- Our annual Condiment Competition
- Silent auction
- Instructional workshops on solar power and garden maintenance for autumn
- Hayrides
- Pumpkin painting
- Kids' games
- Scarecrow building
- Bake sale
- Face painting
- Garlic & daffodil bulb planting
- Peabody's On the Road exhibit
- a special visit from Rainforest Reptile Shows
- Lunch and sweet treats provided by Wheeler's Market Cafe, Green Well
Organic Tea & Coffee, Miss Nicky's Toffee, Vegan Bobbi, and Quinn Gourmet
Popcorn
- Also on hand will be members of The Woodbridge Garden Club, the
Connecticut Beekeeper's Association, The Woodbridge Land Trust and the
Woodbridge Rotary Club, who will be collecting coats & clothing for their
annual coat drive
The festivities will be accompanied by music throughout the afternoon, led
off by the Beecher School Band, and dancing called by legendary Bill Fischer
to get us moving. Also lending their musical talents will be The
Fiddleheads, and Chris Keevil and family.
All are welcome and there's no admission fee! Come early to make sure you
don't miss a thing!
This event would not be possible without the support of the Burpee Seed Co.,
Chabaso Bakery, the Early Family, the Green Chicken Coop, Subway, and all
