for Ph.D. students who are interested in bioinformatics and computational
biology in the Department of Computer Science at Old Dominion University,
Norfolk, Virginia, USA.
Desired Qualifications:
-- Background in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
is desired;
-- Interest in Computational Biology Problems;
-- Strong Problem Solving Skills;
-- Programming Skills in C++, Matlab, Python, or Perl;
-- Background in Statistics, Stochastic Processes, Numerical Analysis, or
Experience in parallel programming and GPU programming is a plus.
