Job Title: Principal Engineer – Op-Vibe/Shock
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The engineer in this position will extensively conduct the key measurements
and characterizations of op-vibe, op-shock and audio-vibe performance and
general vibration and dynamics of HDD, and heavily involved in problem
solving and enabler innovations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform extensive op-vibe, op-shock and audio-vibe performance,
and general vibration and dynamic measurements and characterizations;
• Systematically characterize the hard-disk drives on the key
dynamic performances;
• Identify and develop op-vibe and op-shock enablers;
• Conduct the root cause diagnosis and propose solutions;
• Provide the technical suggestions for the company in op-vibe/
shock areas;
• Working with customers to improve system level performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or other
related fields; Master or PhD degree is preferred;
• PhD with a minimum of 5 year professional work experience, Master
with a minimum of 8 year professional work experience, or Bachelor with a
minimum of 10 year professional work experience;
• Highly competent professionals in mechanical engineering or other
related field;
• Solid background and skills in the areas of dynamic signal
measurement, sensing, DSP, dynamics, vibration, and shock, etc.;
• Proficient in mechanical design and/or testing;
• Good team work spirit and communication skills;
• Hands on experience of lab measurements and data analyses;
• Strong analysis and problem solving skills;
• Experience with HP analyzer, LDV, and vibration/shock testers is
desired;
• Experience with MATLAB and SOLIDWORKS is preferred. |
