generally Gergiev for operas (anyone has heard Prokofiev's operas
here? for me Russian operas are totally a blank area). i very much
agree with some of their piano sonatas/concertos selection, which
include Argerich for piano concerto no.3 (with Abbado) and Richter
for piano sonata 6 (RCA) and piano sonata 8 (along with absolutely
fantastic piano concerto no.5). they also list Pletnev for some
