大概100ft x 200ft 3-story building,在加州。
采用steel Specail Moment-Resisting Frame(SMRF),另一个方向考虑k-brace (
concentrically),加上concrete slab on metal deck such as Verco deck.
问题：
1.假设两个水平方向为x & y. 那么所有steel I column是否必须都一个方向（SMRF)设
置？ 如果两个方向都想用SMRF,没有共同的column, 可以把一部分I column strong
axis 放在x方向（SMRF at x direction), 另外一部分I column放在y方向（SMRF at y
direction），这种做法常见吗？
2.通常的drag beam是如何设置的？假设SMRF并不是整片bays,用steel beam连接SMRF吗
？ 还是在concrete slab里面加入更多的rebar?

for your first question.yes, this is normal, you want the strong axis in the
same plane as the frame.

It looks like that the steel beams are always used for collectors.

the way to go.

发帖数: 1030 | 7 Thank you for raising this issue. Actually, it's a typo. It should be V-type
brace not k-type.
I just checked the K-type. Per AISC 341-05 or 341-10, K-type braced frame is
not allowed for either OCBF or SCBF.
