Requirements include:
• 2-5 years experience in Surface Water Quality
• Engineering degree (B.S. Civil Engineering prefered)
• EIT or PE• CPESC or CPSWQ (or intent to obtain)
• Qualified SWPPP Developer/Practitioner certifications
• Experience and knowledge of construction site inspection, safety,
conduct, and storm water management principles on a construction site
• Field work may require being outdoors in the rain, walking across
slippery, wet and/or muddy surfaces, field work either alone or in pairs,
field work on hot days
• Experience developing Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
• Ability to read and understand construction plans
• Technical skills required include: knowledge of CADD/Drafting and MS
Office. Strong ability to use MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint. GIS and AutoCAD
ability are desired.This position requires thorough understanding of the
Construction General Permit, taking responsible charge of construction
stormwater compliance on several ongoing constructions sites, some travel
for ongoing contracts throughout California, and the ability to develop and
deliver training on water quality and stormwater issues. The position may
include task management and budgeting/scoping for new projects. The position
also includes training and mentoring of staff.
