Summary: Provide analysis support for on-going studies of impacts to
generation resources from reduced availability of cooling water. Provide
support for other analyses of availability of generation resources as needed
.
Position Responsibilities:
Under guidance of senior staff, selected candidate for this position will
conduct analyses of cooling water equipment installed at generation
resources and availability of water resources. Using this information, the
selected candidate will develop estimates of possible system impacts in the
event that drought conditions. The selected candidate will have technical
understanding of power plant maintenance and operations and will support
other studies of impacts of system changes on availability of generation
capacity.
Position Experience and Skills:
Required:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management or
similar quantitative discipline
• Knowledge of water rights management and allocation process in Texas
is preferred
• 2 or more years of professional experience in power plant operations
• Strong communication skills for effective internal and external
communication
• Critical that candidate has complete understanding of power plant
operations
