Danielle Chiesi, a former consultant to hedge-fund firm New Castle Funds,
will plead guilty Wednesday in a closely watched insider-trading probe, a
person familiar with the matter said. Ms. Chiesi had been scheduled to go to
trial in April on conspiracy and securities fraud charges.
Ms. Chiesi would be the 16th person to plead guilty in the case and could
potentially act as a witness against Galleon Group founder Raj Rajaratnam if
she were to cooperate with prosecutors.
