people who are there to take anything of value that you leave unattended.
Do consider taking precautions so you can have a good time without worrying
about thieves taking your stuff, or pickpockets lifting your wallet.
1. Do bring cash, and keep it in your front pocket.
2. Don't bring credit cards you don't plan on using that day.
3. Do put your credit cards and I.D. in a separate pocket from your cash,
but not a back pocket.
4. Don't bring valuables you don't need, such as expensive jewelry. It may
attract the wrong kind of attention.
5. Do look up and watch the Blue Angels and Golden Knights.
6. Don't forget that while you are doing that you make yourself vulnerable
to those pickpockets and thieves we were mentioning earlier.
7. Do bring your kids, but remember to keep a close eye on them, because you
don't want to experience that feeling of panic from losing sight of them.
8. Do have a good time with friends and family
9. Don't be so distracted by the show that you forget to pay attention to
who is nearby and what is taking place around you.
10. Don't hesitate to report criminal or potentially dangerous activity to
one of the many police officers that will be out on the lakefront trying to
protect you. If it is a non-emergency and you don't see an officer nearby
call 311 and report it.
