The Chicago Police are advising of a series of strong-armed robberies on the
CTA Red-line and vicinity. Individuals are forcibly taking I-Phones and I-
Pads off of victims and simply running away.
They are also reporting an increase in violent crimes city-wide where
knives and/or box-cutters are displayed.
These are in addition to the “Flash-Mobs” where groups of young
individuals are storming a store, taking what they want and then running out.
Be aware of your surroundings at all times and keep personal belongings
secured.
Never attempt to fight off a suspect in these types of situations—Your life
is not worth a piece of electronics or other replaceable items.
