Opening is available for a postdoctoral fellow at the chemistry department
of Bowling Green State University, Ohio (group of Ksenija D. Glusac). The
applicant is expected to synthesize and study the electrocatalytic behavior
of flavinium and other iminium cations. The aim of this study is to develop
a fully organic water oxidation catalyst for potential use in solar fuel
cells.
Requirements
PhD in organic electrochemistry is favored. The candidate is expected to
perform multistep syntheses with product characterization using NMR, MS and
other techniques. In addition, the candidate is expected to have experience
with cyclic voltammetry, spectroelectrochemistry and bulk electrolysis
experiments.
