How about benzene? I am going to do a reaction that needs benzene in the
work-up. I used toluene instead,
but didn't get a good result. My boss was mad at me, and asked me to repeat
the work-up with benzene.
Where should I dump it after? To the regular organic liquid waste or some
special container?

显著性的反应。除非直接喝1ml以上才会显示出毒性。
有机溶剂里毒性比较大的是：
苯，1，2-二氯乙烷，氯仿，四氯化碳，二硫化碳，各种一级，二级胺溶剂，巯醇等。 |

Hopefully the reaction will succeed in its first trial. BTW, in one of my
undergradute labs, we used benzene
once (and only once). A guy forgot to turn on his condensing water. As a
result, the benzene was totally
evaporated before he or the TA noticed......... We didn't feel anything bad,
but he was almost killed by other
guys.:)

很早以前国内做实验的时候被磷酰氯薰了一下 咽炎 结果没有好利索 变成慢性的了.
溶剂闻多了嗓子就难受 恶心.

DCM 比 DCE毒性小多了。本来实验应该用DCE的，没有hood，一直不敢用。虽然很小量
，还是不敢。先用dcm试着。

几个小时拿出后， 用棍子敲打肝脏，肝脏就变得又硬又脆。使用这些挥发性的化学品
， 不能长期这样接触。 |

来做的， 如老鼠， 兔子， 狗，猴子等。如果你认为残忍， 那试验就没法做了。比如
癌症研究，先在健康动物体内种癌细胞，等动物患癌症了，各项研究就展开了。 |
