Smoke from a wildfire in Pender County will spread into the
Piedmont and the southern and central coastal plain through this
afternoon. The smoke will be thickest across Sampson...Harnett...
Johnston and Wayne through mid afternoon.
The air mass will warm this afternoon and winds will slowly shift
thining and spreading the smoke more eastward with time.
Groups sensitive to air quality issues should use caution today
and limit outdoor exposure. Motorists are urged to use caution
when traveling in this area as visibilities could change rapidly.
