Considering its poor use even in Internet, doubt its true value in MANETs.
Easy to put some math borrowed from Economics to shock people.
Personally cannot appreciate those work.
Too many such papers nowadays. Anyway, research just for food.
Just my several cents. No intention to offend anybody. 3x.

I do agree with these comments. Sometimes, solution resulted from game theory
can reach a global opimum without exchanging information between nodes in order
to build a global view (which distributed algorithms do). So, if you look at
PODC (one of the best conferences in the distributed system community), more
and more people there are embracing game theory. |

experiece the peer-to-peer network? Another important issue is that no MANY
people know how to take advantage by deviate from the protocol. Try to modify
your TCP/IP protocol stacks to avoid congestion control, you will find out
that what the performance increase you will get. If someone publish it online
with some software that automatically modify it, I can assure that the
Internet will be a mass soon due to the lose o

more than 2 mobicom and infocom papers in a row are watching us.
About game theory in wireless networking, my group has some contributions.
You might want to have a look!

Thanks for your very helpful information.
Can you recommend a link that summarize Nash equilibrium as well as some of it
refinements, such as subgame perfection,Pareto optimal? Thanks a lot. |

Gibbons. It is very good (if not the best) for beginners and might be enough
for ad hoc network reseearch. I guess you can finish it in one or two weeks.
