银行发的letter of credit (LC) 分negotiable LC and non-negotiable LC.
71 | 2 It seems that you misunderstood the term "negotiable", which normally means,
roughly speaking, "transferable". Normally, an L/C is non-negotiable, which
means you can not transfer the L/C to another person, i.e., the bank will
only pay you, the person whose name appears in the L/C. A negotiable L/C
means if you "transfer" the L/C to another person, s/he can ask the issuing
bank to pay. I would guess the L/C itself should indicate whether it is
negotiable or non-negotiable. | l****q 发帖数: 767 | 3 Thank you very much! I just started to think in this way when I read some
explaination about warehouse receipts. Your explaination greatly help to
confirm my understanding. Thanks a lot!!! |
