"A letter explaining why you are requesting the change of status. This is
extremely important: your letter should clearly explain your current status,
your plans for study, and your longer-term plans as well. Keep in mind that
F-1 status is a NON-IMMIGRANT classification. This means that you must
indicate, and in certain cases may be required to document, that you

发帖数: 107 | 3 哎，我也有过这样的经历。当时是物理博士后H1过来，被老板压榨最后一脚踹开，还被
他害，几封坏话推荐信把找到的新位置给黄了。只好转F1。
对USCIS，当时就说不想学物理了，想转行，需要重新学专业。可能你如果能找几个H1
的同事或美国朋友帮你写两到三封信帮你说话有点用吧。另外在美国银行的存款证明，
能证明你足够在这里学习，这样也可能有帮助。不行找朋友借钱凑足几万美元开个证明。
关于如何证明与中国的联系，我当时没有被问到，不知道是不是政策收紧的缘故。
