1073 | 2 Thats BS. If you are doomed to be a complete failure in management
consulting, then you should know better to seek other opportunities.
Tons of talented associates leave this field each year to diversify their
experiences, one guy i know from Bain left the MC practice to join a start-
up tech firm. If you must narrow your choices before you even start, I dont
see the point of living. | d**i 发帖数: 9682 | 3 it's rare that one would leave a consulting firm and join another at associa

This is all to say that while the consulting industry has so many merits, it
is extremely risky. You may make a hefty six-figure salary as an MBA-level
consultant, but you are very likely to experience a couple painful and
costly years of unemployment during a long consulting career. And, once
ejected from your consulting role (no matter what the reason you left), it
is extremely hard to reenter the industry. As a g

. it's more like a business postdoc, as said by a 40 year veteran at a recr

partner。
Hopefully, MC can help shape the career path, get a head start, eventually,
you may get back into the industry. So be very very nice to your clients,
they may become your colleague or boss in the future. | m***n 发帖数: 266 | 8 Thanks for the inputs by all you guys!
It's interesting to see the analogy used by a few people here, that MC is
like an industrial postdoc. In this sense, it seems less of a concern of
getting fired and having to quit from MC since it's only a transient step...
Thanks for your sharing!
