office monitors the overall risk that the bank is taking, and back office
does all the administrative support work such as record keeping, clearing
trades, tax reporting, etc. In essence, the front office tries to make
money, the mid office tries to prevent the firm from going under, and the
back office does all the dirty support work. In terms of pay, front office
