should one play the 3rd highest card when he has xxxx in that suit?
I've seen so many players playing 3rd highest card and screw the whole
hand. It's true that pd should be able to see it's from xx or xxxx
in some cases, but I don't think he can see it in all cases especially
when nobody bids. My philosophy is to play the signal as clear as one can
afford to avoid a sleepy pd's mistake.
And what if one leads K from KQ, should one | w****b 发帖数: 623 | 2 This problem arises when people wanted to cater to both the
count and attitude -- and in general it's nice to keep
flexible.
For this reason I play "A for count and K for attitude",
which eliminates this problem. But even when I play regular
signals, I found the 3rd highest (or 2nd highest if
upside-down) is clear most of the time.

So you lead Q from KQ and J from QJ and T from JT?

primary signal shall still be attitude, hence "A for count,
K for attitude" and not the other way around.
