Driven by low mortgage rates and looser stay-at-home orders, home-buying
demand is now 5.5% higher than it was before the pandemic. New listings have
increased slightly, but not enough to keep up with demand. As a result,
median list prices are beginning to creep up while bidding wars become more
common. It's uncertain if these trends will continue as more states open
back up—will more homeowners feel comfortable listing their homes or will
