Writing Class serving Chinese Community this fall.
Introduction of the English Writing Class
The writing class is designed to help students escpecially the Chinese
descendants writing effectively and efficiently. Mr Shrimper's approach to
teaching writing is focused on broadening and deepending students' awareness
of rhetorical strategies and situations, empowered students a large
rhetorical toolbox from which they can write freely.
Tutoring Quota from Mr Shrimper:
I would like to emphasize to students not only the importance of putting
texts into conversation, but inserting themselves into the conversation.
Introduction of the English Writing Tutor
MFA specialized in creative writing, fiction, Emerson College, Boston, MA
BA in English from Indiana University.
Tutoring Experience:
Assistant for Teaching College Composition course
Tutoring the undergraduates at Indiana University for midterm paper, GRE
writing, academic essays and statement of Purpose for graduate school
application. Most of the students he experienced with are Chinese transfer
students, and 100% of them were accepted by their top-choice graduate
program.
Editing Experience:
Editorial Assistant for a New York City Journal
Graduate Assistant, responsible for the student essay editing and giving
constructive comments about their essay writings. (each essay is upwards of
15 pages) .
Class Schedule
Every Saturday from Sep.16th
9:30 am -10:30 am (4th-6th grade)
10:45 am - 11:45 am (7th- 9th grade)
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm (10th -12th grade)
*Each group will be limited to 6 students.
Fees:
