的生日在2007年10月，所以她只能上一年级。
女儿在现在她的一年级班里，个头中等，成绩中等，其他各项表现都还可以，所以觉得
重读一年级是不是太浪费时间？
老师的说法是，和班里的孩子年龄相差太大，容易被欺负，她没说bully，但我觉得她
表示的就是这个意思。然后还安慰我说，他们有gifted program，女儿表现好一样可以
往上提（应该不是跳级的意思）。
现在我的问题是，大家说说，我能有什么办法劝服老师同意我们直接上二年级。 |

I certainly trust your professional opinion. However, my common sense
makes me wonder, if my daughter is not socially and emotionally ready for
second grade, how many seven year old boys and some other girls could be
called ready.
I am very much worried about the effect of letting my daughter go over
the first grade again. It will certainly interrupt her natural way of
learning and growth. For example, it could change her learning behavior.The
next time when she sees new materials, she might expect to learn them again.
In addition, repeating what she has learned may make her feel so bored and
hurt her capability to pay attention in the long run.
After saying so many, I would like to thank you for your concern. It means
that we as parents can do better. For example, we may set some rules for my
daughter more firmly. We may need to be educated as well. But I believe all
of us want to help my daughter grow in a best way. I sincerely hope you and
us can work together to make this happen.

给老师写了信并附上之前两个老师写的推荐信，虽然直接联系的老师拿到推荐信之后没
有给我回信（学校已经放假了），但是收到了学校寄的班级名单，班级名是2%%，我想
这应该就是进二年级了吧。 |
