Thank you for contacting me about comments made on Jimmy Kimmel Live
regarding our debt to China.
As the response to this incident indicates, the comments on Jimmy Kimmel
Live were hurtful to a great number of people – both Chinese Americans and
others. I think that broadcasters should hold themselves to a high standard,
but I also believe that we need to address violence and intolerance in our
society more broadly.
Although there are no easy solutions to these problems, we can nonetheless
take meaningful steps to support diversity and encourage tolerance. In
particular, I believe that all children – regardless of race, gender
identity, religion, or sexual orientation – should be able to grow up in a
safe, respectful and supportive environment, and that we can do a better job
of encouraging them to treat one another with respect. For that reason, I
am a proud cosponsor of the Safe Schools Improvement Act, which would
require local education boards to establish policies for both students and
school personnel that address school bullying. I have also cosponsored the
Student Non-Discrimination Act, which would provide students with federal
protection against harassment and discrimination in school on the basis of
sexual orientation and gender identity – the same protections that students
already receive on the basis of gender, race, national origin, and
disability status.

Dear Senator Warren,
Thank you very much for your response.
I appreciate your endeavors in Student Non-Discrimination Act. I am also
encouraged by your steps to support diversity and encourage tolerance.
However, what Jimmy Kimmel Live proposed is intolerance and genocide, which
are totally against your pursuits.
Now a lawsuit is being filed against Jimmy Kimmel and Disney. At least it
demonstrates that a certain ethnicity is not satisfied with the current
numbness of the US mainstream regarding the whole issue.
I really hope the lawsuit could be fairly judged and the US mainstream would
be awaken from the whole issue.
