The German Left party representative, politician Frank-Michael John was
caught red-handed, stealing toilet paper from Stralsund City Hall.
The municipal authority’s staff arrested the 24-year-old politician at the
point when he exited the men’s restroom with a toilet paper roll in hands,
reports Bild.
The City Hall’s janitors noticed that in the past weeks toilet paper rolls
started to disappear from men’s WC. About 200 rolls went missing during
this time. The cleaners themselves launched a probe to discover the thieve.
The procurement department staff noticed that toilet paper disappeared in
the days when the political party Left meetings took place. In one of such
days, cleaners caught the party member coming out of the restroom with
toilet paper in his hands and backpack.
The politician himself has not yet commented on the violation. Nor is it
known what punishment will be imposed on him, but is likely to be classified
as petty theft.
