About the speaker:
Dr. Wei Zhang is the Director of Commercial Strategies at Harvard Stem Cell
Institute. Previously, she was Corporate VP of Strategy and Corporate
Development at Millipore Corporation, acquired by The Merck Group in 2010.
Before joining Millipore, Wei founded and ran Harvard Square Consulting, Inc
., a boutique consulting firm focused on helping US clients do business in
China. Prior, Wei spent six years at McKinsey & Company, one of the world’
s leading management consulting firms. In addition to her formal roles, Wei
advised many teams of new businesses, both within and outside of the
academic communities.
Wei obtained her Ph.D. in Immunology from Harvard Medical School and her B.S
. in Biochemistry from Beijing University. She did her postdoctoral
fellowship in stem cell biology at Stanford Medical School. She was awarded
Howard Hughes Predoctoral Fellowship and Baxter Foundation Award. |
