I did some research and consulted friends
when I happened to see a steal deal during my shopping around.
1. your homeowner insurance would be higher
2. every year you need a professional to open it up AND close it down.
3. you need to add chemical weekly and deal with floating leaves in the
summer.
I would buy a gym membership which costs much less.

钱呢。。。
为什么New England这么冷的地区，这么多房子有游泳池呢？！

就今年来讲，游泳池5月中开，10月初关用了将近5个月。
基本的日维护是清理树叶，清理过滤栏。周护理是查水指标，然后加该加的化学物质，
然后就是每年开关游泳池的时候找人的服务费用。
主要的花销：化学物质，关游泳池的防冻处理，pump的电费，水位过低时候加水。 |

My friend first house and second house all have the swimming pool, after
he bought it, he filled in with soil. The second house he has now, he is
using it as Gardon. Do not need to remove everything, just water pump and
fill in with soil ( around $5000).
I do not think he has troule with insurance. You could ask the current owner
for that. keep the same insurance company as current owner to save your
energy.

运行成本一个月大概电费$30, bleach$30
9月份关pool, 成本一百多。
水质检测kit $60
一年总共大概$500~$600，时间嘛开关pool各四个小时，平时就加加bleach，几分钟。
叶子多的话花时间要多一些。
总之，handy的话也不是什么大负担。 值不值得折腾，这就见仁见智了。
