using his English name, let alone his high school academic report. Now he is
going to apply for college, then the legal name is an issue.
There must be some families had the similar issue before, any suggestion how
we resolve it or we have to add his English name as legal name to and go
through with court?
Very appreciate any input. |

driver's license. On that, the name I used is my English name. Never had a
problem, even when there are somebody ask me about the name, I will tell
them one is Chinese the other is English. I don't think it will be an issue
using only the English name. |

IT'S THE ONLY THING YOU COULD DO
it is your own responsibility have confusion on legal names, that is to give you a chance to let the admission office know about it, personally I had similar issue (on SS card I added a middle name myself, just like many chinese people, which that name is not on the passport)
it's not a big problem, they understand it.
key is applicant's criterias, these are just minute issues, worst case scenario admission office will request
