Immunology & Microbial Diseases at Albany Medical College. We are looking
for a highly motivated, recently graduated PhD in Microbiology, Immunology
or related area to study bacteria-host interactions and vaccine development.
Currently, the focus of the lab is to investigate Yersinia pestis and Y.
pseudotuberculosis pathogenesis, vaccine development and immune responses
induced by these vaccines.
Qualifications
A PhD in Microbiology and Immunology
Preferred qualifications with animal models of infectious diseases and
immunological techniques, including flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry;
with understanding of T and B cell immunology, inflammation and vaccine
development.
Strong background and experience in molecular biology and cell biology, such
as recombinant DNA techniques (cloning, mutagenesis, etc), RT-PCR, and
maintaining and infecting cells.
Good communication skills, both written and oral English.
