against the spirit of free speeches. What it has done is to prevent certain
information to be exchanged freely within the forum.
The action is also very bad to the business of mitbss. mitbss is an eyeball
business. The site needs to attract viewers to read and post new information
so that mitbss can get money from online advertisors. No one eould send
advetising moeny to the site with little viewers and posts.
A hot topic is a magnet for mitbss to get more new accounts. The banning on
the hot topic would push away those new accounts. If the oncogene cannot
handle the flow of information posted, to the best of mitbss business, the
correct action is to find someone can handle it. If a company see clicks on
their web site explodes, the best action is to deploy more servers to handle
the increased load, not to tell viewers that sorry, we would allow limited
people to click.
I never bother mitbss due to scarce of information. I come here this time is
