身处一个排名60左右的学校,感觉身边美国博士生抱怨的都比较少,抱怨前途渺茫的大

Essential Functions
This position assists with the technical and organizational aspects of
studies and experiments of a biomedical engineering laboratory.
- Perform experiments, including collecting and analyzing experimental data
(55%)
- Enter data, and maintaining data files from research experiments (20%)
- Attend lab meetings, ordering lab supplies, and handling of hazardous and
biohazard waste (5%)
- Developing, setting up, and maintaining laboratory equipment (5%)
- Ensures compliance with established safety procedures and maintains
required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions (5%)
- Ensures lab conditions and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained
in accordance with established procedures (5%)
- Administering grants, including coordinating and documenting tissue/cell
cultures, reagents and probe tests (5%)
Required Qualifications
BS degree in biology or biomedical engineering or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, communicate with laboratory
staff and investigators, and maintain complete and organized records/reports
.
• Clerical/secretarial: must be able to organize and maintain paper
laboratory records
• Financial Information System (FIS) related work: must use the
University software to order laboratory supplies and equipment
• Accounting or purchasing: order laboratory supplies and equipment
• General computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheets and
e-mail: must be able to use basic computer programs and to organize and
maintain electronic laboratory records
• Other skills: basic wet lab skills, knowledge of biological lab
instruments
Preferred Qualifications
Prior laboratory experience (particularly molecular biology) not required,
but preferred.
Salary Range
$13.25 - $17.89 per hour

就说说我自己和身边的例子.
我自己中国一流名校毕业,美国的博士学校也还行.
博士毕业的时候,投出去几百份简历,
公司的连个回应都没有,就去了黑洞了.
等和公司的人接触以后,
知道任何一个位置,都几百个人申请,
没有绿卡的考虑都不考虑.
身边的美国人,
大多数都是在干薄厚,
不过稍微好点, 有1/3的人经过5年左右的薄厚能找到教职.
美国人为什么不抱怨,
因为他们早知道这个不好混,
除了少数,
大多数本来就是申请不上医学院的.
心里对这个行当早有预期了.
