m***o 发帖数: 272	1 分析一个gene的promoter，另一个lab帮做DNA的甲基化。发现他们设计的引物不是编码链的。如果DNA的一个位点methalytion，那么另一条链对应的DNA也一样methalytion 吗。如果这样的话，他们的结果就没错，如果不，那就是要重新设计引物了。引申的问题就是 TF bind 一条还是double DNA strand? xiexie!

H****N 发帖数: 997	3 It does not matter which strand the primer is from. The methylaton on either strand can always be detected. Most TFs binds to both strand of DNA, but there are exceptions.
