如果一个miRNA属于某个miRNA family（即多个miRNA的组合），为什么miRNA family也
有target site的记录？（我从targetscan的记录里看到的）
再，miRNA，siRNA，小RNA，反义RNA之间有什么区别和联系？

5p/3p: miRNA transcribed from 5 prime/3 prime(essentially the 5p and 3p are
antisense to each other).
The family member or clusters are case by case I believe(not sure though).
Some are very similar, sharing the seeds sequences while the other are not
but within the same genome regions.
siRNA are completely matched/complementary to their targeting sequences---
used to be only for exogenous but now we know there are endogenous ones as
well.
small RNA means small RNAs--smaller than 200b generally speaking;
Antisense RNA refers to antisense RNA(complimentary) to a given RNA species.

suggest to read Gene or the molecular biology of Cell. These two books
should cover all the basics you might need to know for your research.

miRNA refer to small RNAs with specific length (7-8 ncls)
and mainly repress genes, and mainly generated by cell itself
siRNA can be any RNAs that interference with other RNAs, I think
小RNA are more general, I guess, including others
反义RNA, means a RNA complementary to another RNA， I think |

family means similar sequnce
cluster means from the same genome region and close to each other,
computationally their distance are much closer to each compared to
general distribution,
some family members are from the same cluster

发帖数: 1436 | 7 targetscan预测的保守miRNA大概700不到，miRNA family只有150多点。有另外一个问
题：
同一个miRNA family为什么带有不同的前缀？好比：
CAMTA1:miR-590/590-3p
CLSTN1:miR-590/590-3p
EFHD2:miR-590/590-3p
和
RER1:miR-290-5p/292-5p/371-5p
ALDH4A1:miR-290-5p/292-5p/371-5p
ZMYM6:miR-290-5p/292-5p/371-5p
