It's broken? Is the NFL broken with the patriots too? It's a salary cap
sport. EVERY TEAM... I REPEAT... EVERY TEAM has an opportunity to sign free
agents, trade, or build with the draft. Livingston was a free agent
journeyman.. he played on SEVEN teams. SEVEN! No one said "broken" when the
warriors signed him.
DWest.. an old vet that signed a one year deal after signing with Spurs for
one year. He came back for a second year. Who cared or even noticed when he
signed with us last year? Now he's part of us "breaking" the system.
Jordan Bell.... a second round pick. Plenty of teams passed him up in round
1 and midway through rd 2. We had to BUY him from the Bulls. We didn't even
draft him, his right where purchased for cash. So, not only did teams pass
him up, but the team that DID draft him gave him up for money. Who "broke"
who at this point?
JMcGee... no one even wanted this guy. He was out of the league a coup,e
years ago. The warriors sign him to 1-year deal and now he McGOAT? Every
team had a chance to sign him, even to 10 day contracts, but no one did. The
Ws sign him and its us being unfair and "breaking" the NBA?
Iguodala...he came via 3 team trade. Any team out there could have thrown
big money at him last year. No ownership wanted to do so as his age couldn't
justify the money. But if you want to strengthen your team, while weakening
your rival... sometimes it best to just bite the bullet. The clippers
signed Mo Speights to big money not just to build the bench, but to weaken
the Warriors as well by taking a key bench player from us. So I don't want
to hear any whining about us "breaking" a league when all your teams had a
chance to bring all these guys in as well.
N. young, he's in his 1st year here. He was a free agent also. How many
teams offered him a deal? This the same swaggyP that everyone says is
selfish? This the same swaggyP everyone says is a ball hog? This the same
swaggyP people call drama queen? Is this the same swaggyP everyone claims
isn't a team player and uncoachable? But now he's on the W's bench playing
all of 10-14 minutes a night and he helping the W's "break" the NBA?
You guys better think again on your hate or maybe jealousy is clouding your
critical thinking. Joe Lacob and Co. is willing to spend $$$ on building a
franchise. Is your teams ownership willing to do the same? Bob Myers is
Executive of the Year. He was an agent before he joined the organization.
Anyone team could have hired him. He was an assistant GM and got promoted
the same year when Riley left. His first year as GM, drafted Barnes and
Green.. traded for Iggy. Every team had a chance at this roster. Even Steph
was passed over TWiCE by Minnesota during his draft year. NY knicks could
have traded up with Minnesota and swapped picks if they were worried someone
else would get him, but they sat on their asses and preyed Curry would fall
to them but the Warriors picked him 1 slot ahead of NY.
All these FACTS, yet all you millenials who are so spoiled to having things
your way can't stop crying because " it's not fair" the NBA is " broken"
because golden state is now a championship organization after all those
years of horrible basketball we all had to sit through. But even then, now
that we get to relish great basketball and success, the jeers of "bandwagon"
gets thrown around. Sorry your own town turned on your franchises... we can
't help it if your neighbors don't support your local teams. Here in the Bay
Area, warriors fans have ALWAYS shown up to games. A simple google search
for game attendance will show you the stats. When we were bottom of the
division and drafting guys like Foyle, Fuller, Dunleavy, Ike Diogu, and
plenty of draft bust... no one said a thing... you only hear, "That sorry
ass team drafting bums..Kee Kee Kee" Then we finally draft well and put
together a great roster all we hear is "waaaaahhh...waaaahh sniff sniff .&#
128546; not fair..... the Warriors broke the NBA."
Sit yo ass down and put that bottle 🍼 back in yo mouth and
stop bitching. Appreciate greatness while it's here.
