matter most, in my opinion -- aside from the obvious: how they finish the
season -- is what the main core players -- Melo, Amar'e, Tyson, Lin and
Shumpert -- feel about him. If these guys all privately campaign for him,
that may seal the deal. I don't mean the usual rhetoric you see in print, I
mean go to management and say, "We want him back." But you have to expect
there will be a lot of interest in this job so the franchise should do its
due diligence. " |
