Knick’s superstar and eponymous “Linsanity” vector Jeremy Lin is still
bedridden recovering from knee surgery, but he’s using video games to pass
the time while he does so.
While he might have made his reputation with games of the non-video variety,
apparently Lin is also quite the gamer. He talked at length with fans over
a Facebook chat, where he discussed his history with games. As he recovers,
he’s playing the still-unreleased DOTA 2 with his brothers.
“Just got it installed the other day!” he said, according to a transcript
that can be found here.
Lin also played Super Smash Bros. and Pokemon in their day – his favorite
Pokemon is Blastoise. Like we couldn’t have guessed that.
All in all, Lin answered 8,300 questions from fans, characteristcally
charming and humble the whole time. One of my favorites, when asked if he
would fight a tiger for the NBA Championship:
“no because the tiger would kill me and id never get to the part about the
nba championship. i would fight a snail though.
Lin’s surgery was successful, according to his twitter: “’Praise God for
a successful surgery! Now on the road to recovery! Lets gooo. Much love to
all the fans for your support and kind words.’” He said, along with the
