questions:
You are considered one of the best NBA players of all time, remembered as
being instrumental in taking the Chicago Bulls to six championships, and
were offered many endorsements. As a kid, did you foresee yourself becoming
a basketball legend or did you have other aspirations?
Yes, I always dreamed about playing in the NBA. I dreamed big my whole life.
I took advantage of my height and athleticism to be remembered in the
sports world.
You were competitive from an early age. How has this helped enhance your
career and how does being competitive drive your entrepreneurial spirit?
I had no choice but to be competitive growing up the youngest of 12 kids. We
competed all the time in just about everything. Having five older brothers
taught me how to be tough. As an entrepreneur, the game is just the same.
You've got to have that drive to be the best. Hard work is what pays off at
the end of the day.
You have empowered many kids aspiring to become something better and you
were an inspiration to many. What advice would you give our generation today
on how one can achieve happiness and success?
Work hard at whatever you want to achieve. Study it, practice it and know it
. Always believe in yourself no matter what. Work hard and be on the attack
while the enemy is sleeping.
If you could play against any player in history, who would it be?
I would want to play Oscar Robinson. He was a great player.
To what or whom do you attribute your success?
My high school basketball coach. That was the first step to a great journey.
Social media is the new model of communication. People's can't seem to live
without Facebook, Twitter or text messaging. Are you into social media? Has
this helped enhance your marketability and visibility in the online world?
I'm a rookie at social media, but that's where we are today.
Who is your favorite entrepreneur and athlete today?
Without a doubt, it’s Michael Jordan.
What do you think is the next great financial opportunity?
Market America...get paid while you shop.
What do you think about Lebron James joining the Miami Heat and how do you
think his move will affect Miami and the community in Miami?
It’s instant publicity for the city. He's going to bring a fresh, new vibe
to Miami.
Are you working on any projects or charities right now?
I'm going to be working for the Chicago Bulls this year and also working
with few inner city projects in Chicago. |
