Kobe: I'd fire everybody who missed Jeremy Lin

Look out front office personnel if Kobe Bryant ever runs or owns an NBA team
like Michael Jordan. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar said he would fire
everybody who missed New York Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin.
Lin was cut by the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors before catching
on with the Knicks. Said Kobe before an NBA All-Star Game practice session
over the weekend in Orlando:
The biggest thing to me is how everybody missed it...They all would be fired
if I was owning a team. I hear this stuff, 'It came out of nowhere.' I
think it's a load of [garbage]. You can't play that well and just come out
of nowhere. There has to be something there and everybody missed it. So
heads would roll [if I was owner].
Bryant should know. He'd never heard of Lin before the NBA's first Taiwanese
-American player dropped 38 points on him and the Lakers in his best
performance so far at Madison Square Garden. |
