Rick Adelman, the former Blazers coach with many ties to the state, is being
mentioned again in connection with the Oregon job, this time with a
timeline that an announcement "may come in the next several days.''
Adelman, 63, whose Houston Rockets did not make the playoffs, has not
returned repeated phone calls since Pat Kilkenny's plane landed in Houston
some 2 1/2 weeks ago. (Kilkenny is on his way to El Paso right now - go
figure.)
