. phillies offered drew a fair offer. he just did not want to come.

he was young back then
2001 final
he said something that probably should not have been said
especially considering he was raised in lower merion
sixers fans took note
and booed him ever after
heard that this relationship has been reconciled a bit in recent years

发帖数: 2213 | 9 I do not blame Scott Rolen. Back then Phillies was a lack-luster
team with a GM who was not very good and an ownership who was
not willing to spend to win. He wanted Phillies to improve before
committing to a contract extension. Phillies were happy to be
mediocre, so he was traded to Cardinals. Phillies phans are biased
about him, I'd have to say.
Now with the same ownership, just a WS championship later, the team
suddenly does not hesitate to spend money around. I was really
surprised to learn the other day that Phillies have the second
largest opening day payroll this season, only next to the Yankees...
