Damon is on 3rd. Phillies got to tip hat to JD for his game awareness.
The problem is really that when hitters do not chase Lidge's slider, he
cannot consistently throw fastball for strikes. His inability to pitch
from stretch also hurt the Phillies. But I doubht Phillies have any other
options -- from what I've read, swine flu hit Phillies hard.

nd the whole season back to spring traning - find someone who can block

ruuner in scoring position, 差别还是很大的。
主要责任还是在Lidge. 就算预料不到Damon能继续直接偷三垒这种极特殊情况，但是
Ruiz把球仍飞了到中外野可能性不算小。Pitcher应该去cover 3B

lidge threw a fastball and his instinct took over...

he was just bullcrapping. Full count. Tex on deck. Everyone knows a fastball
is coming.
If he was looking for a slider, he would have fouled the ball or struck out.

But he is really seeing the ball well.
