I had some experience that may not be useful. I have no insurance (do not have
a car) and I rented a car in Canada from avis with Platinum Visa. After a
little accident( only damage to the rental car), I called the credit card
company (MBNA), and was told Visa
Organization will take the case. I called 800 number of visa auto insurance
division, told the story and was given a claim number. (They will mail you
letter about what materials you need to prepare) When I returned to U.S., avis
