was an economic stimulus package of $787 billion. As part of this package,
the Office of Fossil Energy received $3.4
billion toward fossil fuel research and development between 2009 and 2011.
The funds primarily supported R&D
of carbon capture and storage technologies.18

fossil fuel industry. Conservative estimates put U.S. direct subsidies to
the fossil fuel industry at roughly $20 billion per year; with 20 percent
currently allocated to coal and 80 percent to natural gas and crude oil.1
European Union subsidies are estimated to total 55 billion euros annually.

博导说的就是subside主要是tax deduct和tax deferral, tax credit几乎没有。
第二页就详细的列出了每条相关法规，其中tax credit只有10年25B。剩下的都是
deduct, 和deferral。
